What you'll do
- Architecture & Design: Lead the design and implementation of core protocol components, from initial prototypes to production-grade deployment.
- Protocol Development: Develop and optimize data structures, consensus algorithms, and cryptographic implementations (e.g., zero-knowledge proofs).
- Security & Verification: Identify attack vectors, failure modes, and performance bottlenecks; apply formal verification or simulation to validate designs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with researchers, product managers, and security teams to translate roadmaps into precise technical specifications.
- Mentorship & Quality: Drive code quality through design reviews, documentation, and technical leadership; mentor junior engineers.
Requirements / Who we're looking for
- Advanced proficiency in systems-level languages used in blockchain (Rust, Go) and smart contract languages (Solidity).
- Demonstrated track record of open-source contributions in the Web3 ecosystem.
- Strong background in distributed systems, peer-to-peer networking, and modern blockchain primitives (rollup technologies, account abstraction).
- Up-to-date with standards such as Ethereum upgrades and inter-blockchain communication protocols.
- Proven ability to debug complex issues across network and application layers; experience making architectural tradeoffs across performance, scalability, and security.
- Fluency in English; Korean proficiency is a plus.
