Job Title: Carpentry Instructor (Part-Time)
Schedule: 10–15 hours per week

Program: NCCER Carpentry Training Program


Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpentry Instructor to deliver high-quality training aligned with NCCER standards. This part-time role is ideal for a journey-level carpenter who is passionate about developing the next generation of tradespeople. The instructor will provide hands-on and classroom instruction, ensuring students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in carpentry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver instruction in NCCER carpentry curriculum, including both classroom and hands-on training
  • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and practical demonstrations
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive learning environment
  • Track student progress and maintain required documentation
  • Reinforce industry best practices, safety standards, and worksite expectations
Qualifications:
  • 5–7 years of journey-level carpentry experience (required)
  • NCCER certification or willingness to obtain (preferred)
  • Prior teaching or training experience (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and safety protocols
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of learners
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are highly desirable
