Andersen is hiring a Data Engineer for a project building a corporate Data Warehouse platform and developing scalable data processing and analytics solutions.

The customer is an established financial organization operating in the insurance and financial services domain. The company provides a range of long-term financial and protection-related solutions for both individual and business clients. It focuses on improving digital capabilities, enhancing customer experience, and modernizing internal processes through scalable technologies, secure platforms, and operational optimization initiatives.

The project is focused on building a corporate Data Warehouse platform for centralized data processing, storage, and analytics across multiple internal systems. It includes developing scalable ETL/ELT processes, improving data quality, establishing engineering and governance standards, and creating a reliable foundation for reporting, BI, and future analytical solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Participating in the design and evolution of the DWH platform architecture.
  • Defining engineering development standards.
  • Building scalable and maintainable ETL/ELT processes.
  • Designing and implementing data pipelines using Apache Airflow and Python.
  • Designing DWH structures and dimensional data models.
  • Building integrations with Oracle and 1C.
  • Developing incremental loading strategies.
  • Configuring and standardizing dbt processes.
  • Implementing Data Quality approaches and validation mechanisms.
  • Optimizing pipeline performance and SQL transformations.
  • Analyzing and improving existing architectural solutions.
  • Ensuring platform extensibility and scalability.
  • Participating in the design of BI-ready data marts.
  • Collaborating with infrastructure and DevOps teams.
  • Preparing technical documentation.
  • Conducting code reviews.
  • Mentoring Middle Data Engineers.
  • Conducting knowledge transfer sessions for the client’s internal team.
  • Consulting the client on further platform development.

Must-haves:

  • Experience in Data Engineering / DWH projects for 5+ years.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python, Apache Airflow, SQL, PostgreSQL, and dbt.
  • Deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes, dimensional modeling, and Kimball methodology.
  • Practical experience building scalable data pipelines, incremental loading, orchestration workflows, and performance optimization.
  • Experience integrating with Oracle.
  • Experience working with legacy / low-quality data.
  • Experience implementing Data Quality checks and validation frameworks.
  • Experience introducing engineering best practices and standards.
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes, especially in GitLab environments.
  • Understanding of observability and monitoring approaches (Grafana, Zabbix).
  • Level of English – from Intermediate and above.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with BI/reporting ecosystems.
  • Understanding of Superset, Power BI, and analytical data marts.
  • Experience integrating with 1C.
  • Experience in banking, insurance, or fintech domains.
