About the Role
At AboutMe Apps, we don’t just build software; we help people understand their bodies. We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer who lives and breathes the Apple ecosystem.
This isn't your typical 9-to-5. We need a Power User who is already using wearable tech to track their health. If you are the person who never takes off their Apple Watch (even while sleeping) and loves digging into data, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
The Mission
You will be responsible for the quality of our health-tracking builds. This is a freelance hourly-paid position perfect for a specialist who wants to combine professional QA expertise with their passion for health tech.
What You’ll Do
- Real-world Testing: Test our mobile apps (iOS) in real-life conditions - tracking temperature, heart rate, and blood oxygen.
- Bug Hunting: Identify, document, and track functional and UI/UX defects.
- Build Verification: Check new builds on a regular basis (in batch) and provide fast feedback to the dev team.
- Device Management: Ensure the app performs flawlessly across various Apple Watch models and iPhone generations.
Requirements (The Standard Stuff)
- 2+ years of experience in Mobile QA (iOS is a must).
- Solid understanding of Apple Guidelines.
- Ability to write clear, concise bug reports and test cases.
- English level: Intermediate or higher.
The AboutMe Special Requirements 🍏
- The Apple Arsenal: You own a range of Apple devices (multiple iPhones, different generations of Apple Watch).
- Wearable Native: You already wear an Apple Watch. Monitoring your Sleep Stages, HRV, and Activity is second nature to you during your sleep every night.
- Context Testing: You are ready to test in the field (literally - while sleeping or exercising).
What’s in it for you?
- Flexibility: Hourly rate and a fully remote setup.
- Impact: Your feedback directly shapes a product that improves people's health.
- Growth: Work directly with a fast-paced startup team without the corporate fluff.
