Overview
We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Architect to join our EU Regional IT Architecture team. In this role, you will define the future-state architectural vision and conceptual designs for Core Retail within our group of omnichannel food retail brands, planning the transition from current to target state while driving architectural consistency to optimize costs and maximize reuse. Together with the Core Retail Platform Architect, you will shape the Supply Chain architecture strategy across the region, aligning solutions with business priorities and overall corporate strategy.
Responsibilities
- Translate corporate strategy and business needs into a mid to long-term (3-5 year) regional technology strategy in eCommerce and eCommerce Fulfillment, aligned with regional EU and global IT strategy
- Contribute to the technology strategy by understanding mid to long-term (6-24 months) departmental and company challenges
- Deliver high-level architectural designs for the eCommerce Product Cluster supporting capabilities such as Order Management, eCom Warehouse Management (WMS), In-Store Fulfillment and Last Mile Delivery with own and 3rd party fleets
- Work with other members of the Architecture team as well as delivery teams at local, regional and global level when needed
- Collaborate and partner with Product Management and business stakeholders across EU brands to ensure alignment and secure organization-wide stakeholder support
- Operate effectively within both agile and waterfall managed project environments
- Support Product and Solution architects to translate IT strategy and reference architectures into best-of-breed, flexible and scalable infrastructure architecture
- Lead and contribute to the reference architecture within the Supply Chain domain
- Ensure that TCO implications of architecture decisions are factored into solution choices
- Apply architectural principles and policies to security, privacy and compliance regimes
- Provide innovative solutions to business and management problems and drive strategic plans towards concrete roadmaps and timely execution
- Support program and project delivery teams to embed security, privacy and regulatory needs into solution designs while staying abreast of new technologies
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in enterprise or product architecture roles within Supply Chain or Core Retail domains
- Expertise in Supply Chain Operations including Order Management, Warehouse Management (WMS) and Last Mile Delivery
- Proficiency in Apache Kafka, MuleSoft and SAP Commerce Fulfillment
- Background in defining future-state architectural vision and translating business strategy into technology roadmaps
- Knowledge of eCommerce and eCommerce Fulfillment landscapes within omnichannel retail
- Familiarity with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
- Understanding of security, privacy and compliance frameworks applied to solution architecture
- Capability to collaborate with Product Management, business stakeholders and cross-regional delivery teams
