Responsibilities (How We Will Measure Success)
Lead and oversee audit engagements for companies across various sizes and industries, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with professional standards.
Review and sign off audit reports and related deliverables with strong professional judgment and technical accuracy.
Identify, manage, and resolve complex audit, accounting, and client issues arising throughout engagements.
Review working papers, audited financial statements, tax computations, and tax returns to maintain the highest quality standards and regulatory compliance.
Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Audit department, driving operational excellence, team development, and business growth.
Tasks (What the Role Does on a Day-to-Day Basis)
Review audit reports, provide strategic guidance and feedback to engagement teams, and ensure all audit work is completed in accordance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
Lead and manage the audit team both internally and externally, including resource planning, coaching and mentoring managers and staff, conducting performance evaluations, developing departmental policies and procedures, and ensuring efficient department operations.
Build and maintain strong client relationships by responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing trusted advisory support on financial reporting and compliance matters.
Drive business development initiatives for the audit practice, including identifying potential clients, building relationships with key decision-makers, and leading proposals and pitches for new business opportunities.
Required Experience
Holder of HKICPA (Practising) certification is required.
Minimum 10 years of working experience in a CPA firm, including significant experience in leadership and managerial capacities.
Strong experience in reviewing and approving audit reports for a diverse client portfolio.
Solid familiarity with HKSA, HKFRS, HKFRS-PE, SME-FRS, and IRO requirements.
Proven experience leading audit engagements and managing client relationships within CPA firms.
Competent and comfortable in the use of various software, apps, and IT solutions, e.g. Xero, Google Apps, etc.
Strong command of English is required; proficiency in Cantonese, Putonghua, and other languages would be an advantage.Our Benefits
