Senior Backend Engineer position (remote).

Tech Stack & Focus:

  • Python (FastAPI)
  • Asynchronous programming
  • Distributed systems, event-driven architecture (EDA)
  • Kafka (data streaming, topology design, delivery guarantees)
  • Data pipelines for large volumes of structured and unstructured data

In the first 3 months, you will:

  • Build a production-ready backend architecture
  • Design and launch data ingestion pipelines from heterogeneous sources
  • Develop scalable backend services and APIs
  • Ensure observability, logging, and system auditability
  • Deliver working endpoints/services demonstrating stable performance under load

Requirements:

  • Proven 5+ years of experience with launching production systems
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems and behavior under load
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar streaming systems
  • Backend development experience in Python (FastAPI or similar)
  • Strong system design skills: performance, fault tolerance, scalability
  • Willingness to provide proof of experience: GitHub / production cases / architectural decisions
