Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in banking, payments and financial messaging. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of SWIFT, ISO 20022 and clearing systems to support the design and delivery of payment solutions across domestic and cross-border landscapes.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze and document business requirements for payments and financial messaging initiatives
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRD)
  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories within an Agile delivery framework
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across banking and payments domains to define solution scope
  • Support the implementation of SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 message processing flows
  • Analyze and document clearing and settlement workflows for domestic and cross-border payments
  • Partner with technology teams to ensure accurate interpretation of payment messaging standards
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to align business and technical stakeholders
  • Contribute to the design of solutions covering Open Banking, Instant Payments and card clearing
  • Provide subject matter expertise on payment modules throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of overall experience in Business Analysis
  • Background in banking and payments
  • Expertise in financial messaging including SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 message processing
  • Knowledge of domestic clearing systems such as NEFT, RTGS and IMPS
  • Familiarity with UPI, SEPA and cross-border payments
  • Understanding of clearing and settlement workflows supporting payment systems
  • Proficiency in Agile methodology, BRD and FRD preparation
  • Skills in requirements gathering and writing user stories
  • Familiarity with Open Banking, Instant Payments and Swift Payments concepts
  • Understanding of Clearing & Settlement for Cards and Instant Payments
