Overview

We are seeking an Application Support Engineer to provide operational and technical support for back-office trading systems, including password resets, account unlocks, credit calculations and incident resolution. The role is responsible for daily checks, monitoring and release management of middle and back-office applications, ensuring minimal disruption and proactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality support for internal business applications
  • Resolve incidents and service requests per SLAs
  • Perform daily system checks and report status
  • Support application releases and configuration changes
  • Run core processes (Change/Problem Management, audits, patching)
  • Identify and implement improvements for performance and automation
  • Maintain relationships with internal teams and vendors

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Application Support Tools and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux and Unix
  • Expertise in cloud platforms including AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
  • Skills in programming for automation and small changes
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and basic networking concepts
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Customer service focus, adaptability and a team-oriented mindset
  • Good time management and commitment to continuous learning

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and ServiceNow
  • Background in Energy, Trading and Risk Management
  • Knowledge of Exchange Traded Financial Instruments
  • Understanding of Enterprise Applications
