We're looking for an experienced, hands-on technical Quality Engineer to drive the transformation of our QA capabilities into a fully-fledged QE practice. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of our software products and customer services by integrating advanced testing methodologies and pioneering automation techniques. As the member of our Quality Engineering team, you will collaborate closely with our software development team to deliver our test automation strategy.
Key responsibilities and objectives:
- Be technical and hands-on in Quality Engineering with primary objective to improve testing efficiency, quality and outcomes.
- Drive the adoption of AI-assisted Quality Engineering tools and practices, with a focus on measurable improvements in test coverage, speed, reliability and maintainability.
- Identify opportunities to use AI to accelerate test case generation, test data creation, exploratory testing, defect analysis, root-cause investigation and automation script development.
- Work alongside engineering teams to understand objectives, capture automation requirements and code/integrate them into the testing framework.
- Contribute to the develop of performance metrics for automated testing and system behaviour.
- Be a significant contributor to the delivery of our automation strategy and test framework.
- Design, development, debug and implementation of test automation scripts.
- Review of test script code and implement automation best practices.
- Deliver approaches to identify root causes of issues, resulting in reduction of time to resolution.
- Operationalise automation procedures every day to maintain consistent high-performance testing.
Who you are:
- Strong, proven experience in software QA, test program development and automated testing.
- Hands on experience with a variety of test tools and frameworks including but not limited to Playwright, Appium, WebDriverIO, Cucumber/Gherkin, BrowserStack.
- Proficient with REST/RESTFUL web-services, GitHub, GitHub Actions TeamCity, Octopus, Postman, DataDog.
- Experience working with .Net, C#, typescript, JavaScript and/or ReactNative would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS) and DevOps concepts (serverless frameworks, pipelines).
