SATashkent is seeking a motivated Data Analyst who is genuinely curious about business and comfortable using modern AI tools to move faster. This role is ideal for someone who wants to turn raw operational data into decisions that affect how the company runs — student performance, marketing efficiency, sales funnels, and product usage.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze data across student performance, marketing, sales, and operations to surface insights that drive business decisions
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for management and team leads
- Write SQL and aggregation queries against our databases (MongoDB, relational DBs, Google Sheets exports)
- Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate data cleaning, analysis, and prototyping — "vibe coding" small scripts to automate repetitive analytical tasks
- Translate business questions from non-technical stakeholders into clear analytical work and present findings in plain language
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and academic teams to define metrics, track KPIs, and identify growth opportunities
- Work with engineers to ensure data is collected, structured, and accessible for analysis
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in business — you want to understand why the numbers move, not just report them
- Solid SQL skills and comfort working with spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets) at a non-trivial level (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas)
- Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis (pandas, basic visualization)
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to write code, transform data, and prototype quickly
- Comfort with "vibe coding" — generating, reading, debugging, and shipping small scripts written with AI assistance, without needing to be a full software engineer
- Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to dig into messy real-world data
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have:
- Experience with BI tools (Metabase, Looker, Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience with MongoDB aggregation pipelines
- Familiarity with marketing analytics (GA4, Meta Ads, GTM)
- Basic statistics (A/B testing, cohort analysis, funnel analysis)
- Prior experience in EdTech, SaaS, or any consumer business
