N-iX is looking for Senior D365 Functional Consultant to join the team
About the Client:
Our client delivers comprehensive operational support and expert services to leading insurers, brokers, fleet managers, and automotive manufacturers. As part of their digital transformation strategy, they are building a B2B e-commerce platform connecting car workshops with spare parts suppliers — serving as a core operational layer within the automotive claims and repair ecosystem. The platform processes high volumes of commercial transactions with a focus on efficiency, scalability across multiple markets, and seamless integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance as the central accounting ledger.
Short Role Description:
We are seeking an accomplished and proactive Senior D365 Finance Functional Consultant to drive the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance for a greenfield B2B e-commerce platform. You will bridge business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex commercial and accounting requirements into scalable D365 Finance configurations — with a particular focus on multi-legal entity setup, integration design, and supporting a modern cloud-native architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with key business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into efficient and scalable D365 Finance solutions.
- Lead discovery sessions and workshops to identify process improvements and provide best-practice guidance for D365 Finance applications.
- Map business processes and conduct fit-gap analysis to recommend configuration, customisation, and integration strategies — with particular attention to multi-legal entity setup and cross-market accounting requirements.
- Design and specify D365 data entities and OData endpoints to support integration with external platforms, working closely with architects and .NET engineers to align on message contracts and API behaviour.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and system integrators to deliver end-to-end solutions encompassing configuration, data migration, reporting, and user acceptance testing.
- Prepare functional specification documents, integration design documentation, system design documentation, and user manuals.
- Oversee solution design, configuration, deployment, and post-go-live support to ensure seamless operation and optimal adoption.
- Train and mentor business users and junior consultants, ensuring knowledge transfer and high user satisfaction.
- Identify project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and support change management initiatives.
- Actively monitor the Microsoft D365 product roadmap and industry trends to recommend continuous improvements and ensure the client maximises the platform's capabilities.
- Manage multiple priorities and coordinate dependencies with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (F&O) as a Functional Consultant — CE/CRM experience is not a substitute.
- Deep knowledge of D365 Finance core modules — General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash and Bank Management, and multi-legal entity configuration.
- Proven experience configuring and designing D365 data entities and OData endpoints to support external system integrations — familiarity with Azure Service Bus as a messaging layer between D365 and external platforms is a strong advantage.
Experience with multi-legal entity, multi-currency, and multi-country D365 Finance implementations — essential given the platform's multi-market deployment model.
Strong business analysis and process reengineering skills within B2B commerce, supply chain, automotive aftermarket, or financial services. - Proven ability to lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and functional solution design.
Experience integrating D365 Finance with third-party systems via OData REST APIs — required, not optional. - Familiarity with modern D365 environment management and deployment practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management — able to translate D365 Finance concepts to non-technical product and engineering audiences.
- Demonstrated success delivering end-to-end D365 Finance implementations including post-go-live support.
- Microsoft certifications MB-300 and MB-310 required — MB-340 desirable.
- Strong English proficiency (Upper-Intermediate/Advanced level).
