CD PROJEKT RED is hiring a QA Lead to join the Cyberpunk 2 project. Full-time role, hybrid working mode based in Warsaw, Poland. Candidates must submit CV in English and demonstrate English proficiency at a minimum C1 level.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and develop the gameplay QA team; foster accountability and continuous skill growth.
- Adapt and implement the Polaris QA strategy into practical testing approaches, measurable outcomes and clear team priorities.
- Own testing execution and milestone verification; ensure tasks meet gameplay quality standards.
- Monitor gameplay quality metrics, KPIs and bug trends; identify risks and build mitigation plans.
- Partner with development, production and external QA vendors to coordinate dependencies and alignment.
- Maintain data-informed reporting on quality status, blockers and project readiness.
- Drive continuous improvements in QA workflows, tools, reporting and testing practices.
- Provide assistance with complex investigations, issue analysis and debugging workflows when required.
Requirements:
- 5+ years leading or managing QA teams and 5+ years experience with performance management and career development.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, bug workflows, defect management, test planning, test coverage and quality reporting.
- Experience with game engines and editors, preferably Unreal Engine; familiarity with Unreal Insights, engine profiling and crash debugging.
- Experience with performance analysis, profiling tools, memory investigations, platform-specific testing and console development environments.
- Experience with QA metrics, KPIs, dashboards, test documentation and working with external/distributed QA teams.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills; ability to work under pressure and ambiguity.
