Peoplr is searching for a Senior Product Manager (API, Data) to lead the development of a new product line for our client, Quavo, in the fintech SaaS industry.This job is ideal for strategic, entrepreneurial candidates with proven experience managing the development of API, data, and developer experience products. The Senior Product Manager is a full-time, fully remote role.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
As a Senior Product Manager, you will own:
- Product strategy & ownership: Define the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for a new suite of data platforms and APIs, including versioning, scalability, maintainability, SLAs, and clear success metrics.
- Customer-centric API design: Treat developers and integration partners as primary customers by defining target consumers, use cases, API contracts, data schemas, and integration patterns that prioritize usability and extensibility.
- Execution & collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, data, marketing, and commercial teams to prioritize tradeoffs, unblock delivery, support go-to-market efforts, and communicate product vision to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Quality, governance & continuous improvement (AI): Ensure reliability, performance, security, and compliance while continuously improving the platform through feedback, usage metrics, and AI-enabled research and development workflows.

Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a product manager or similar role, with demonstrated experience shipping data products in collaboration with engineering teams
- Experience leading product work across strategy, prioritization, and delivery
- Prior focus on building and managing platform, data, and/or API products
- Strong understanding of data systems, including data pipelines, data modeling, and distributed systems concepts
- Working knowledge of API design (e.g., REST), data integration patterns, and system interoperability
- Ability to partner effectively with engineering and data teams on technical product decisions and architecture-level discussions
- Experience in banking and/or financial services
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and experience contributing to data-intensive or AI-driven products
- Experience using AI tools to improve productivity, accelerate workflows, and enhance product development processes
- Ability to weigh and decide about system and product tradeoffs (e.g., latency vs consistency, batch vs real-time processing)
- High school diploma
