What you bring

  • 4+ years of professional experience building and scaling Ruby on Rails applications in a production environment
  • Ruby: Expert-level mastery (Ruby 3.3+), including YJIT and concurrency patterns
  • Ruby on Rails: Deep framework knowledge (Rails 7/8), specifically Hotwire (Turbo/Stimulus)
  • Sidekiq: Architecture of complex background workflows, idempotency, and reliability
  • Postgres: Database design, advanced indexing, and performance tuning
  • Testing (RSpec)
  • Unit Testing: Mastery of testing business logic, service objects, and models in isolation
  • System Testing: End-to-end testing using Capybara to validate user flows and UI
  • Mocking/Stubbing: Expert use of doubles and web-mocking to keep tests fast and reliable
  • System Design: Scaling data-heavy applications and designing maintainable service architectures
  • API Design: Building and documenting robust RESTful
  • Security: Proactive mitigation of OWASP risks and managing dependency vulnerabilities
  • English: A B2 level of English or higher, and experience in communicating with English-speaking customers

What you'll do

  • Develop and deliver robust solutions with a strong focus on clean, production-ready code
  • Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including business logic and architecture design
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies, demo sessions, and internal knowledge-sharing events like Idea Talks
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and write tests to maintain high code quality and reliability
  • Support project estimation, planning, and take part in pre-sales technical discussions when needed
  • Optionally, engage in mentoring, technical interviews, or represent the team at internal/external meetups and dev2dev sessions
