Overview

We're looking for a Delivery Director – Retail/CPG Industry to join our team in London. This role provides an opportunity to lead large-scale transformation initiatives for prominent clients in the Retail and Consumer Products sectors. You will have a pivotal influence on defining delivery strategies, ensuring seamless execution of complex programs, and fostering innovation through collaborative, globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end client delivery from initiation through the entire project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with EPAM processes
  • Manage client relationships and expectations, representing delivery at governance level
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams and clients, ensuring cohesive delivery across finance, sourcing, implementation and business outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineers and QA teams to drive estimates, delivery plans and retrospectives
  • Proactively identify and manage engagement risks, escalating major issues as necessary
  • Support business development activities, identifying opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Participate in pre-sales activities, prepare proposals, define implementation and design, and present solution architecture and delivery statements of work

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, including hiring, mentoring and performance management, with a demonstrated ability to set strategic direction
  • Track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects or programs from initiation to delivery
  • Familiarity with common project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and related tools
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their requirements are met
  • Experience building and leading geographically distributed delivery teams and defining effective operating models
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Proven history of managing complex data-driven projects from start to finish
  • Hands-on experience in technology and software engineering with the ability to influence technical decisions and drive delivery practices
  • Ability to present strategies and progress reports to executive leadership
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

  • Experience delivering large-scale ecommerce projects
  • Knowledge of data management concepts including governance, quality, integration and lifecycle management
  • Understanding of data technologies, including SQL/NoSQL databases, data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift), and ETL tools
