About the role: Lead and manage QA across game projects from early design to final release, ensuring quality across platforms and versions.

Main responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the entire QA testing protocol including black box/functional, regression, and end-phase testing.
  • Attend planning and sprint meetings as the QA representative and advocate for QA needs.
  • Coordinate with development and creative teams; guide and delegate tasks to QA testers and outsourced QA partners.
  • Oversee daily smoke tests and performance checks across all game versions and platforms; ensure defects are reported and tracked.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain detailed test cases and scripts covering functionality, performance, and user experience.
  • Lead submission testing phases to ensure releases meet quality standards.
  • Analyze defect data and workflows, propose process, tooling, or testing improvements; stay current with QA tooling and AI-assisted testing.

Requirements / Profile:

  • Proven QA lead experience, having overseen at least 3 game projects from conception to release, including console testing.
  • Experience managing outsourced QA partners.
  • Advanced skills in bug/defect tracking (e.g., JIRA) and strong understanding of game development components and QA methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to formulate and present clear test plans.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and provide actionable insights; leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Passion for games and delivering high-quality player experiences.
