Overview

We are building a Lead AI-Enabled Software Engineer role to ensure AI-authored delivery stays production-ready across quality, security, and long-term maintainability. You will review and harden AI-generated code, add tests and observability, and help the pod refine patterns and metrics—apply to join the Colombia-based AI Pod

Responsibilities

  • Lead reviews of AI-drafted code to validate correctness, security, performance, maintainability, and architectural alignment
  • Build production-grade software with AI coding agents used as primary authoring tools
  • Implement automated tests (unit, integration, contract, end-to-end) within the delivery pipeline
  • Instrument services for observability using logs, metrics, and traces feeding into Cox's existing platforms
  • Improve code health by refactoring AI-generated artifacts, removing duplication, and enforcing conventions
  • Create and refine review heuristics, reusable patterns, and anti-patterns for the pod's context packs
  • Collaborate with the other engineer and the Architect to solve complex technical problems
  • Contribute to continuous WoW refinement and support quality metric reporting

Requirements

  • Proven software engineering background with 5+ years of professional experience
  • Hands-on daily use of AI coding agents with a strong record of senior-level code reviews in production teams
  • Deep expertise in automated testing across unit, integration, and e2e levels
  • Solid familiarity with secure coding practices, including OWASP Top 10 and SAST/DAST workflows
  • Cloud-native development skills, preferably AWS
  • Advanced knowledge of Claude Code, Specification Driven Development (SDD), and Testing in SDLC
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Test Procedures and Test Reports preparation
  • Bilingual communication skills: English (working proficiency) and Spanish
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Nice to have

  • Security engineering background or certifications such as CSSLP or OSCP
  • Claude Certified Architect (CCA)
  • Experience with observability platforms such as OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or New Relic
  • Contributions to engineering quality tooling, including GitHub Spec Kit
  • Previous tech-lead or staff-engineer experience on a small team
