As a Mid-Level Cloud Data Platform Engineer, you will be working for our client in the financial sector, focusing on developing and maintaining robust data platforms within a hybrid infrastructure. You will contribute to advancing CI/CD processes, automation practices, and cloud deployment patterns, helping to build secure and efficient data solutions that drive strategic insights and operational resilience.
Your main responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, and Ansible to ensure smooth development pipelines.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
- Contribute to the creation of shared services components and deployment patterns on GCP.
- Automate resilience and compliance checks to meet industry standards.
- Support the development and implementation of SRE practices to improve system reliability and efficiency.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Data Engineering, or Cloud Platform engineering.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, Ansible).
- Practical understanding of cloud platforms, with a preference for GCP, including deployment, optimization, and security best practices.
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform.
- Programming skills in Bash and Python.
- Linux administration proficiency.
- Solid understanding of networking principles and system automation.
- Familiarity with SRE, Service Management, and Application lifecycle management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving attitude.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience working within highly regulated environments.
- Skills in Kubernetes.
- Background in Data Engineering and associated tooling (Airflow, Spark).
