What are we looking for now?

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with a strong focus on data reliability, consistency, and scalability.

You will play a key role in evolving our data platform from a primarily pipeline-driven setup to a more structured, reliable, and scalable system. This includes improving how data is validated, monitored, and delivered across the business.

This role is ideal for someone who not only enjoys building pipelines, but also cares deeply about ensuring data is accurate, trusted, and production-ready.

What You’ll do:

Data Pipelines and Architecture

  • Build, maintain, and optimise scalable data pipelines and architectures supporting analytics, reporting, and operational use cases

  • Contribute to improving the overall structure and maintainability of the data platform

Data Reliability and Quality

  • Design and implement automated data validation and quality checks across core datasets

  • Ensure data is complete, accurate, and consistent across systems

  • Investigate discrepancies and perform root cause analysis across pipelines and data stores

  • Work towards establishing a single source of truth for key business metrics

Testing and Validation Frameworks

  • Introduce and maintain automated testing for data pipelines, including:

    • null and completeness checks

    • volume and anomaly checks

    • cross-system consistency validation

  • Ensure validation is part of the pipeline lifecycle, not just post-deployment

Observability and Monitoring

  • Build and maintain monitoring and alerting for data pipelines

  • Improve visibility into pipeline health, failures, and data anomalies

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact the business

Launch and Deployment Support

  • Support data readiness for new product and brand launches

  • Define and enforce validation steps before data goes live

  • Contribute to automating repetitive setup and configuration tasks

  • Reduce risk and manual effort during deployments

Collaboration and Enablement

  • Work closely with data engineers, product teams, and analytics stakeholders

  • Translate business requirements into reliable and scalable data solutions

  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and best practices

What You’ll bring:

Technical Foundations

  • Strong SQL, Python, and Bash

  • Hands-on experience building data pipelines in AWS (or similar cloud)

  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT and data warehousing

Data Reliability & Quality Focus

  • Proven experience implementing data quality checks and validation frameworks

  • Experience ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency

  • Ability to perform root cause analysis on data issues

Data Engineering Practices

  • Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Kestra

  • Familiarity with CI/CD and version control (e.g. GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Terraform)

  • Ability to build scalable, maintainable pipelines and architectures

Mindset & Collaboration

  • Strong attention to detail and focus on data integrity

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Ownership mindset for production-grade data systems

Proficiency in professional-level English communication, both written and verbal is mandatory.

Strong Advantages

Candidates with these skills and experiences will be preferred.

  • Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks

  • Experience with real-time or modern data platforms

  • Building end-to-end testing frameworks (not just post-deployment checks)

  • Implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability

  • Experience supporting product or market launches with data readiness

  • Working in fast-paced environments with frequent releases

Nice-to-Haves
  • Exposure to event streaming tools like Apache Kafka

  • Experience with monitoring/observability tooling

  • Understanding of real-time vs batch trade-offs

  • Exposure to machine learning workflows or feature engineering

  • Experience with ML models / MLOps

What We offer:
  • Hybrid working model (office 3 days/week) or fully remote

  • Innovative international company that uses cutting-edge tech equipment

  • Collaborative teams and agile multicultural environment

  • Competitive salary with flexible working hours

  • 23 paid vacation days + public holidays

  • Private health insurance for you and your family

  • Free Online English/Spanish lessons

  • Corporate events throughout the year

  • Ongoing learning and professional development opportunities

In-office perks such as:
  • Daily breakfast and freshly cooked lunch 3 days a week

  • 50% discount on personal training sessions and physiotherapy sessions
