Who we are:

Humboldt Merchant Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of North, provides payment acceptance to merchants in specialty markets, with a focus on retail and e-commerce transactions. In addition to providing safe and secure credit card processing to a wide variety of merchants, Humboldt also supports multi-currency conversion, specialized chargeback reporting, compatibility across multiple gateways, and more.

Job Summary:

The North internship program is intended to create a beneficial relationship and growth opportunity for collegiate students interested in the FinTech industry. As a part of this program, the Intern(s) will meet with senior leaders and be mentored by team members on their respective teams.

The Humboldt Merchant Services Intern will be assigned to assist the sales and sales enablement team with the creation of marketing materials throughout the 6 week duration of their internship. This intern will work closely with senior leadership and their respective teams at Humboldt to gain an understanding of the payment processing industry and North as a whole.

What you'll do:

  • Create sales and marketing materials during your duration of internship

  • Learn the sales cycle process in the payment processing industry

  • Collaborate with team members and interns across the organization

  • Participate in regular team meetings and 1:1s with leader

  • Gain an understanding of the industry and the North, LCC and Humboldt Merchant Services brand

  • Must be willing to commit to the intern program for the full duration of the program

What we need from you:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program at an accredited college or university with a focus on business, marketing, or other related fields.

  • Results oriented and ability to work independently on projects with deadlines

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels within and outside the company

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong proficiency in G-Suite or Microsoft Office
