Mercor is seeking a Workforce Development Specialist to design digital workspaces, tasks, and training programs for AI research labs. The ideal candidate has experience in curriculum and instructional design, apprenticeship program administration, and workforce development policy.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of full-time experience at a large community college system, major union training trust, or Fortune 500 corporate training / L&D organization.
  • Background in curriculum and instructional design for skilled trades or technical programs.
  • Experience in apprenticeship program administration (DOL/state-registered).
  • Competency-based assessment and credentialing (NOCTI, NCCER, etc.).
  • Workforce development policy and funding (WIOA, Perkins).
  • Corporate training / L&D with a technical or manufacturing emphasis.
  • Day-to-day use of platforms like Google Classroom, Google Forms, and SharePoint / Box.
  • Strong analytical thinking and writing skills. Able to translate training workflows into structured task specs.
