Principal Engineer – Stockholm
Introduction & Summary
This role is for a highly technical individual contributor aiming to excel as a Principal Engineer within a modern product organization. We are looking for someone who possesses strong hands-on engineering experience and has evolved into a leadership position like a Staff Engineer or Principal Engineer. Knowledge of enterprise architecture integrated with contemporary engineering practices is paramount.
Main Responsibilities
The Principal Engineer is the highest technical authority and is accountable for the coherence of the technical landscape.
Own the long-term technical direction and enterprise architecture.
Set architectural principles and standards for development.
Translate business strategy into actionable technical strategy.
Maintain a rolling architectural outlook of 6-24 months.
Make key irreversible decisions regarding system evolution.
Key Requirements
Extensive hands-on engineering experience.
Proven experience in a leadership role within a product organization.
Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture.
Ability to make informed architectural decisions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
Experience in mentoring and team development.
Familiarity with agile methodologies.
Background in product strategy alignment.
