Payments segment in N26 is responsible for building systems to become the primary bank for customers by providing trustworthy and frictionless money movement experiences. As a Senior Backend Engineer you will work on complex problems and be encouraged to adopt latest technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Tech Lead on architecting new features and delivering them to production.
- Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software.
- Mentor junior team members and maintain code quality through pull requests.
- Work within a cross-functional team to uphold high technical standards.
Requirements:
- Experience developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems (Kotlin is a plus).
- Sound understanding of microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres.
- Experience with modern cloud architectures, preferably AWS.
- Appreciation for security, well-tested and well-documented code.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
