What you will do
- Design and maintain efficient ELT pipelines using dbt to transform raw data into clean models.
- Implement best-practice data modeling and software engineering techniques, including CI/CD and testing.
- Develop comprehensive data quality checks and monitoring scripts to ensure reliability.
- Collaborate with analysts and business users to optimize data models for analytical use cases.
- Tune SQL queries and data models to improve warehouse performance and reduce latency.
- Build scalable data visualizations in Looker for large teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a data-focused role (Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, BI Developer).
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL.
- Hands-on experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).
- Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and ETL/ELT principles.
- Proficiency with Git for version control.
Nice to have
- Python expertise for automation and orchestration.
- Experience with semantic layers and orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Knowledge of modern software engineering practices applied to data.
