Hack The Box is hiring a Senior Backend Developer to work remotely across Europe or relocate/hybrid to the Athens Tech Hub (Greece).

What you will do:

  • Develop new features and tools using Laravel PHP framework.
  • Create and maintain RESTful APIs and clean, scalable PHP code.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, technical documentation, and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers (Vue.js), QA, and Product Managers.
  • Maintain the platform by fixing issues and staying current with technologies.

Requirements:

  • Based in Europe for remote work or willing to relocate to Greece.
  • Proven OOP experience and experience with MVC frameworks.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and deep HTTP knowledge.
  • Strong relational database skills.
  • Unit testing (PHPUnit), SOLID principles, and design patterns.
  • Analytical mindset; able to work independently and in a team.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Laravel, Symfony, Springboot.
  • Cyber security mindset.
