About this role: Join as a Junior Quality Engineer supporting the Customer Payments team to maintain and improve quality of the payment checkout flow across Web, Android and iOS. Work with the team to learn quality processes, execute tests, use AI agents to support testing tasks and contribute to automated test suites.
Key responsibilities:
- Support improvements to testing processes and test automation in an agile environment.
- Collaborate on end-to-end testing initiatives with developers and cross-functional teams.
- Execute exploratory and automated tests across Web, Android and iOS.
- Identify, document and track defects; work with developers to resolve issues.
- Maintain and contribute to automated test suites and coverage across the test pyramid.
- Create test plans, requirements and test cases for functional and non-functional stories.
- Support CI pipelines and investigate test stability issues.
- Use data, logs and testing tools to understand issues and support continuous improvement.
Requirements / what you will bring:
- Foundational knowledge of test automation and programming (JavaScript, C# or Java).
- Exposure to automated testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright or Cypress.
- Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP and backend testing; exposure to Postman, REST Assured or xUnit.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub or GitLab.
- Awareness of performance/load testing concepts and tools like Artillery, JMeter or k6 (beneficial).
- Understanding of TDD and BDD practices and a proactive, learning mindset (including interest in AI tools/agents).
- Strong communication, ownership and attention to detail.
