The ship's Nurse is responsible for providing appropriateday-to-day health care to guests and crew onboard. Performs nursingcare in a proficient, calm and professional manner during routine work shiftsas well as during a crisis, increased workload or emergency.
Responsibilities
  • Starting an intravenous infusion
  • Assisting with a cardiac arrest with drugs, ventilation and compression
  • Calculates correct drug dosage andadministers medication as per physician’s prescription or order
  • Checks emergency equipment,maintains established par levels of medical supplies and medications
  • Assists the physician with procedures,treatments, document nursing interventions, observations and sets up treatmentrooms
  • Initiates nursing intervention fornon-urgent patients, such as but not limited to ice application, dressings,splints and bandages

Requirements

  • Nursing school degree with minimum two years of clinical experience
  • Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificates
  • Experience with cardiac care, trauma, internal medicine
  • Emergency room and general practice background
  • Pleasant and communicative character
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Reliability and hard work
  • Fluently spoken English
