Job Summary:
The Manager II – Network Infrastructure & Operations is accountable for the reliability of TruStage’s enterprise network and the intentional evolution of that network toward future‑state architecture. This role blends operational leadership with strategic responsibility for executing TruStage’s network modernization roadmap, including automation, cloud‑ready connectivity, improved observability, and software defined networking.
Job Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage multiple teams of IT professionals, including network engineers, systems administrators, and operations staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Where the Manager II, IT Infrastructure & Operations also has significant Product Owner responsibilities for their area, they may only manage one team of IT professionals.
- Develop team capabilities through mentoring, training, and performance management
- Work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute the infrastructure and operations strategy, aligning it with the organization’s broader IT and business objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams and departments.
IT Infrastructure Strategy & Management
- Contribute to the development and implementation of infrastructure strategies that support the organization’s long-term goals and objectives.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of all infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage, and data centers.
- Drive continuous improvement of infrastructure performance, reliability, and scalability.
Operations Management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of IT systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Establish and enforce best practices, processes, and procedures for IT operations, including incident, problem, and change management.
- Ensure that all systems and operations are compliant with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Project Management
- Provide advanced technical guidance and support to teams, particularly in solving complex technical challenges.
- Lead complex infrastructure projects, from planning and design through to implementation and evaluation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements, ensuring that third-party services meet company standards.
Compliance & Security
- Oversee the implementation and management of robust security protocols to protect IT systems and data.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Lead the response to infrastructure security-related incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
Resource Management
- Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, hardware, and software, to meet the organization’s needs.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on system performance, project status, and team productivity to senior leadership.
- Provide insights and recommendations for future infrastructure investments and improvements.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience.
- 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing complex infrastructure environments and leading multiple technical teams.
- Deep expertise in one or more of the following:
- Server management, networking, security, storage systems, and/or data center operations;
- Network protocols, firewall management, and security best practices;
- Cloud computing platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments;
- Virtualization technologies and/or disaster recovery planning;
- Management of End User Services technologies;
- ITSM processes and procedures;
- Monitoring, observability, and/or event management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, lead, and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset.
Preferred Experience:
- Routing, switching, wireless, WAN, and SD‑WAN
- Hybrid and cloud network connectivity
- Network monitoring, observability, and automation tooling
- Translating network and infrastructure strategy into executable plans
- Partnering with Enterprise Architecture on future‑state connectivity and SASE readiness

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.
Base Salary Range:
$125,100.00 - $187,700.00At TruStage, we believe a sound, inclusive benefits program is of vital importance, along with a flexible workplace that allows for work-life balance, career growth and retirement assistance.
