Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Manager to lead and orchestrate the operations of a high-tech Device Laboratory that replicates real-store retail environments. This role combines technical expertise, operational coordination and stakeholder management, acting as a key bridge between client requests and internal engineering teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with infrastructure, devices and networks, while also coordinating priorities and ensuring smooth delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the infrastructure, including POS systems, handheld devices, IoT equipment and mobile devices (iOS & Android)
- Ensure high availability, performance and reliability of the lab environment
- Support setup, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and network components
- Coordinate and prioritize incoming requests from the client
- Orchestrate work across internal teams to ensure timely and effective delivery
- Track progress and ensure alignment with agreed timelines and objectives, in collaboration with the Project Manager
- Act as the main point of contact between the client and internal teams
- Clarify requirements, manage expectations and ensure transparent communication
- Translate business needs into actionable technical tasks
- Support rapid prototyping and experimentation in a safe, non-production environment, enabling teams to test and validate "store-of-the-future" solutions
- Facilitate both on-site and remote access to the lab for global teams
- Define and improve processes for lab usage, access and request handling, while ensuring compliance with security and operational standards
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, networks and devices
- Background in lab environments, device management or hardware testing setups
- Familiarity with retail systems such as POS, scanners and IoT
- Proven capability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to mediate between business and technical teams
- Proactive, structured and solution-oriented mindset
- English proficiency at B2+ level or higher
Nice to have
- Background in retail or store technology environments
- Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) tools
- Exposure to automation or lab orchestration tools
- Experience working in distributed/global teams
