NOVACARD is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to ensure quality and reliability of mobile and backend products for its digital credit product.

About the role: Work across the full product flow — from user actions in Android/iOS apps through APIs, message queues, and databases. Fully remote with occasional business trips.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyze new functionality, create test designs, write and maintain test cases.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of mobile and backend systems.
  • Test mobile applications on Android and iOS across OS versions, screen resolutions, updates, push notifications, and deeplinks.
  • Validate end-to-end scenarios across apps, APIs, message queues, and databases.
  • Prepare and maintain test data (customers at different lifecycle stages, tariffs, limits, offers).
  • Analyze test results, identify defects/risks, and report findings.
  • Review requirements, identify cross-team dependencies, estimate testing effort, and maintain regression suites.
  • Investigate logs, trace requests across services, and collaborate with developers to diagnose issues.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, coverage, and product quality.

Key requirements:

  • 5+ years testing complex software systems; 2+ years testing external integrations.
  • Strong experience in functional testing of Android and iOS mobile applications.
  • Hands-on with device logs (Android Logcat, iOS Console) and intercepting/analyzing mobile traffic.
  • Experience testing SOAP and REST APIs (XML/JSON), various authentication schemes.
  • Confident SQL skills for MS SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL; ability to prepare test data via SQL and APIs.
  • Knowledge of asynchronous communication (Kafka, RabbitMQ), idempotency, retries, and delayed effects.
  • Experience with logging/monitoring tools (Kibana, OpenSearch, Grafana) and testing in microservices architectures.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and test-management tools (X-Ray, TestRail, Test IT, Zephyr).
  • Fluent Russian and English (B1+ for technical documentation and international teamwork).

Nice to have:

  • Charles, Fiddler, Swagger, Postman, SOAP UI, Newman.
  • Experience in fintech/banking (card processing, credit products, tariffs, limits, lifecycle).
  • Basic API test automation in Postman; BPMS/Camunda testing; Git and CI/CD (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
  • Understanding of security requirements for financial apps (personal data, OTP, sessions, PCI DSS basics).
