Keen Software House is hiring a QA Lead to own quality for Space Engineers, leading a team of six QA professionals and driving testing strategy, release stability and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of product quality measurement across gameplay, technical systems, content and releases.
- Be accountable for multiplatform release readiness and production stability; drive objective go/no-go decisions based on risk assessment and quality data.
- Define testing strategy, priorities, quality standards and long-term QA roadmap.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of QA professionals; build a culture of ownership and high execution standards.
- Continuously improve QA workflows, methodologies and cross-team collaboration.
- Monitor post-release quality using support tickets, crash reports and telemetry; implement preventive improvements.
- Report directly to the Production Director and provide clear visibility into product quality and release risks.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience as QA Lead in game development (preferably PC and/or console).
- Shipped multiple PC or console games through the complete development lifecycle.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies, release management and risk-based testing.
- Experience designing and improving QA processes.
- Strong understanding of test automation strategies, frameworks and best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; fluent English.
- Based in the Czech Republic or within the EU and able/willing to travel to Prague when needed.
Nice to have:
- Experience with sandbox, simulation or systems-heavy games.
- Familiarity with telemetry, crash analytics and live game operations.
- Experience working on long-term live products.
