Join us as a DevOps Trainee!

We are looking for a DevOps Trainee to join the Group Data Delivery team at our Porto Technology Centre. It's a hands-on role for someone who wants to build real cloud and data infrastructure alongside experienced engineers working on financial markets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the Group Data Delivery services used by teams across the group.
  • Learn to design and build infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Maintain and improve the pipelines and platform infrastructure serving data products and AI workloads.
  • Help deploy and monitor AI agent services built on AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI.
  • Support application deployments across environments (Dev/Eua/Prod).
  • Assist with incident resolution and report progress through Jira and stand-ups.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required

  • Engineering or Computer Science degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Linux / Unix foundations and core networking concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a drive to take ownership and see things through.
  • English B2 or higher; based in (or relocating to) Porto.

Nice To Have

  • Exposure to AWS / Azure; familiarity with Terraform.
  • Regular use of AI coding agents as dev tools: GitHub Copilot CLI, Claude Code or VS Code Copilot.
