Figure is hiring a Staff Accountant focused on Loan Accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Record journal entries related to loan activity and perform account reconciliations for loan-related accounts, identify discrepancies, and propose solutions.
- Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with preparation of financial statements, conduct analyses, and validate data integrity.
- Develop and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure GAAP compliance and strengthen internal controls.
- Assist with external audits by preparing documentation and providing support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive process improvement and automation.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects as the company grows.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Accounting.
- At least 2+ years of relevant experience in loan accounting or similar industry accounting role.
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SAGE, NetSuite, WorkDay, and expense management solutions preferred.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
