Secret Mode is a video games publisher seeking QA Testers to ensure products are free from bugs and fun to play across platforms from consoles to mobile.
Responsibilities:
- Take titles through end phase submission testing, from alpha to gold master.
- Produce and maintain clear bug reports for external development partners.
- Test and report against product milestone requirements.
- Perform QA support tasks for external development teams and aid testing across target platforms.
- Create, run and maintain test cases and test scenarios; perform build verification testing for releases.
- Check games adhere to 1st party certification requirements and collate/evaluate customer feedback for live issues.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of QA testing at least one game from start to completion.
- Good level of Quality Assurance knowledge with game development/components.
- Experience with bug/defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla).
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; ability to meet deadlines and manage time.
- Experienced games player with attention to detail, patience and perseverance.
Nice to have:
- Experience testing console products.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity of working alongside external QA teams and knowledge of platform-specific certification requirements.
Conditions: This is a 12 month fixed term contract. The role is studio based in Leamington Spa with hybrid working (at least two days per week in the Leamington Spa studio). Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available.
