Mercor is seeking a Chemist to evaluate AI model performance on chemistry problems, review and annotate tasks, and produce original problem sets. The role requires a PhD in Chemistry or equivalent experience and working fluency in multiple chemistry disciplines. The position is remote, with a commitment of 20 hours/week and hourly compensation of $75-$83.
Requirements
- PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or MS in Chemistry with 3+ years research or industry experience, or BS in Chemistry with 5+ years lab, synthesis, or QC experience
- Working fluency in at least two of: organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, biochemistry
- Comfortable reading and interpreting reaction schemes, spectra (NMR, IR, MS), and phase diagrams
- Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form
