Onde is a B2B product company providing mobility entrepreneurs with technology and marketing support. The company has 400+ business partners in 90 countries and a team of 140+ professionals. It is looking for an experienced leader with strong DevOps expertise and hands-on engineering experience to build and grow a collaborative DevOps community.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a responsible, high-performing Ops and DevOps function.
  • Manage DevOps engineers day to day, including 1:1s, feedback, motivation, development and support.
  • Organize knowledge-sharing activities, trainings, workshops and master classes.
  • Contribute to development plans and mentor community members.
  • Drive adoption of best practices and technologies, and participate in feedback and performance reviews.
  • Help team leaders allocate workloads appropriately.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code; handle maintenance, upgrades, backups, recovery and disaster recovery planning for cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to support smooth deployments and high system availability.

Requirements:

  • Strong people management and team leadership skills.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and fostering knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Linux system administration proficiency and strong knowledge of Terraform and Ansible.
  • Understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancers, DNS and system security.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer/Network Engineering or a related technical field.

Nice to have: Experience managing on-premise, hybrid, bare-metal or cloud infrastructure; managing self-hosted Kubernetes; and writing or improving scripts in Python, Groovy, Ruby, Go or Bash.
