Proactive and tech-savvy specialist to manage core accounting functions and drive optimization and automation of financial processes for a SaaS company.
Key responsibilities:
- Process Automation & Development: participate in projects to optimize and automate accounting and finance workflows; analyze workloads, prepare data for automation, test and implement new solutions; assist in configuration and development of financial systems and integrations (specifically Xero); document processes, prepare technical instructions and maintain internal knowledge base; identify bottlenecks and suggest optimizations.
- Accounting & Compliance: manage primary documentation in Xero; record income, expense and AR/AP transactions; conduct contractor due diligence (KYC) before onboarding partners; support payment processing for services (mainly Marketing); execute month-end closing control procedures in Xero; prepare and submit VAT returns for Brazil and Mexico.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accountant or Financial Specialist
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Experience with Xero (preferred)
- English B2 or higher
