Python Backend Developer

HaaS Platform is looking for a Python Backend Developer to join a product team building scalable backend services, APIs, and AI-powered integrations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new backend services and maintain existing ones.
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, indexes, and queries.
• Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain code quality.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Containerize and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
• Integrate AI capabilities using MCP (Model Context Protocol).
• Optimize application performance and database efficiency.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of commercial backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Python and FastAPI.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, SQL optimization, indexing, and migrations.
• Experience with pytest, unit and integration testing, and TDD principles.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of REST API design principles and application security.
• Git and collaborative development practices.
• Proficiency in English.

Nice to have: Experience with MCP and AI tool/agent integrations; asyncio and async SQLAlchemy; SQLAlchemy and Alembic; RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis; AWS, GCP, or Azure; Redis or Memcached.
