Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead GCP DevOps Engineer to join our team.

This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can drive best practices, optimize cloud-based environments, and provide leadership in DevOps processes, primarily focusing on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement best practices for hybrid cloud and on-premises environments, with a strong emphasis on cloud
  • Define and enforce organizational policies to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Leverage modern technologies and methodologies such as GitOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
  • Deploy and manage resources like VPC, IAM policies, GKE, KMS, VM, and DNS on GCP
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement FinOps strategies
  • Lead VM-to-container migration initiatives to modernize the infrastructure
  • Provide high-quality documentation and ensure effective knowledge sharing with the team

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in DevOps engineering roles, with a focus on cloud-based environments
  • Expertise in GCP services like VPC, IAM, GKE, and associated components
  • Proficiency in using GitOps and Infrastructure-as-Code tools to automate processes
  • Knowledge of cost management practices such as FinOps
  • Skills in designing and scaling cloud and hybrid environments effectively
  • Experience in transitioning workloads from VMs to containers
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher
