Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior BI Analyst to drive business analytics initiatives and support the evolution of our data and reporting landscape.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in translating business needs into structured analytical solutions, defining a single source of truth for metrics, and ensuring smooth collaboration between business and technical teams. This position requires strong stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking, and hands-on experience with BI tools and data modeling.
Kindly note that this role supports remote work, but only from within Ukraine.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops to understand business processes, decision-making flows and KPI requirements across domains (e.g., Finance, Commercial, Supply)
- Translate business needs into Epics, User Stories, acceptance criteria and testable requirements (Agile/Scrum)
- Define reporting scope, prioritization and delivery waves in collaboration with stakeholders
- Own and maintain business metrics, calculation logic, dimensional context and data glossary (Single Source of Truth)
- Collaborate with data engineering and architecture teams to design stable semantic layers and consumption datasets
- Ensure consistent naming conventions, governance standards and stewardship processes for BI assets
- Conduct inventory and rationalization of existing reports, dashboards and datasets; recommend optimizations
- Support BI migration activities by validation of datasets, measures, filters and report behavior after changes
- Contribute to BI Target Operating Model (TOM), governance practices and workspace strategy
- Define and execute validation approaches, including data accuracy, reconciliation and performance checks
- Lead UAT processes with business stakeholders, ensure proper sign-offs and documentation
- Maintain traceability across requirements, implementation, testing and validation artifacts
- Act as the main point of contact between business and delivery teams (engineering, QA, architecture)
- Communicate progress, risks and decisions clearly; maintain RAID logs and decision registers
- Support user adoption through training materials, enablement sessions and documentation
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in BI, data analytics or related roles
- Strong experience in requirements collection and stakeholder management
- Proficiency in data modeling and definition of business metrics
- Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with testing, validation and UAT processes
Nice to have
- Experience with BI migrations or transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with governance frameworks and BI operating models
- Understanding of semantic layers and data architecture principles
- Experience with cross-functional and distributed teams
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
- English level of minimum B2 (Upper-Intermediate)
