Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Automation Engineer to lead the automation of deployment, configuration and management of on-premise network infrastructure. You will play a critical role in enhancing our infrastructure through strategic automation solutions, collaboration and a strong focus on scalability and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Automate deployment, configuration and management of on-prem network infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain robust automation scripts and workflows to optimize network operations
  • Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into technical automation solutions
  • Deliver reliable, scalable and well-documented automation processes for on-prem network systems
  • Leverage hybrid and cloud connectivity knowledge to enhance automation where applicable

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in automation engineering or related fields
  • Advanced understanding of automated platforms, complex network services and Cisco networking
  • Expertise in Python, Bash and deep knowledge of SDLC and script architecture
  • Capability to integrate multiple platforms using REST APIs and manage data flow with JSON/YAML formats
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform and Ansible for architecture and optimization
  • Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab Pipelines or GitHub Actions
  • Familiarity with advanced orchestration tools such as Rundeck for job scheduling and workflow automation
  • Background in working within and leading DevOps team structures and implementing SDLC best practices
  • Strong understanding of firewall logic including flow vs rule differentiation and stateful/stateless connections
