Pargo is hiring a Software Engineer to develop its e-commerce delivery services, core platform features, and client APIs.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the product team to design technology-driven delivery solutions.
- Develop platform features and client APIs; contribute clean, performant, peer-reviewed code.
- Design scalable solutions for high-throughput services and improve development processes.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, from specification through testing, launch, and support.
- Monitor operational efficiency and business metrics, and work collaboratively with engineers.
Requirements:
- At least two years of professional software development experience in a modern language.
- A technology-related bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Knowledge of server-side web frameworks; Laravel is preferred.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration; Docker and Kubernetes are preferred.
- Familiarity with Git, collaborative development processes, GitHub, Jira, and Linux server administration.
- Strong PHP experience is preferred. Additional useful experience includes asynchronous messaging, cloud environments, infrastructure as code, JavaScript and frontend frameworks, Python, Golang, functional programming, and modern transport schemas.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-growing startup, adapt to change, and bring an entrepreneurial mindset.
