We are looking for an experienced MATLAB / Simulink Model-Based Development Engineer to support our client in professionalising their model-based development environment.

The project focuses on improving model quality, increasing test coverage and establishing a robust verification approach for models and generated code.

Location: Remote
Start: January 2027
Duration: 3+ months
Engagement: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and improving models using MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow

  • Supporting the professionalisation of model-based development practices

  • Improving the quality, consistency and maintainability of existing models

  • Designing and implementing model testing and verification approaches

  • Increasing test coverage for models and generated code

  • Performing test coverage analysis

  • Supporting verification of generated code

  • Identifying gaps in the existing testing and verification process

  • Contributing to the establishment of reliable model quality and verification practices

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow

  • Experience in model testing and verification engineering

  • Experience with test coverage analysis, ideally including MC/DC (Simulink Test, Simulink Coverage)

  • Fluent English

Nice to have:

  • Experience in regulated environments, especially MedTech / Life Sciences

  • Experience with CI/CD for Simulink models

  • German language skills
