NinjaOne is hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer for its global Platform Engineering organization. This hands-on technical leadership role partners with the US-based team to support production deployments and evolve the deployment platform.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute production deployments and releases, ensuring availability, minimal downtime, and operational continuity.
- Develop deployment standards, release-readiness processes, rollback procedures, and operational playbooks; lead post-release reviews and continuous improvements.
- Design automated deployment solutions, reusable frameworks, standardized workflows, and self-service capabilities.
- Lead CI/CD modernization and reduce repetitive operational work through automation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, promote engineering best practices, and communicate risks and progress to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 7–10+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Build and Release Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or a related field.
- Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and supporting and automating production deployments in cloud environments.
- Expertise in enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with artifact repositories, deployment automation, release orchestration, Git workflows, and release management.
- Scripting or programming experience with Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages; strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Good to have: Kubernetes, AWS, cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps capabilities, and experience improving engineering productivity and DORA metrics. A relevant bachelor's degree is preferred.
