Sparkland Trading develops cryptocurrency trading systems, algorithms, market data infrastructure, and exchange connectivity.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain market data components and connectivity to cryptocurrency exchanges.
- Develop and maintain trading algorithms and add features to the trading system.
- Optimize the trading system for microsecond and nanosecond performance.
- Collaborate with teams to maintain and improve trading systems.
- Lead technical initiatives independently from requirements gathering through deployment.
Requirements:
- At least 8 years of C++ software development experience; 10+ years of total software development experience is desirable.
- Experience with high-load, low-latency applications and performance optimization.
- Good understanding of design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and network protocols.
- Experience in financial markets and/or high-frequency systems.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills, including handling critical issues.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent.
Nice to have: WebSockets, FIX, Kafka, trading strategy development, kernel bypass or DPDK, system-level and network performance optimization, and experience leading teams.
