Senior Cloud Platform Engineer – Microsoft Azure

Project Overview

  • We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join a Secure Infrastructure and Engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining secure, scalable Azure cloud platforms, with a strong focus on automation, infrastructure security and developer experience.

    You will drive Azure platform engineering best practices, lead cloud networking initiatives, implement Infrastructure as Code and leverage AI tools to improve automation and operational efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, build and maintain secure and scalable Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

    • Lead Azure networking, security, governance and automation initiatives.

    • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

    • Implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.

    • Apply Azure Well-Architected Framework principles.

    • Improve developer experience through reusable templates, tooling and automation.

    • Implement monitoring, observability and operational best practices.

    • Drive the adoption of GenAI tools for infrastructure automation and troubleshooting.

    • Collaborate with architects, security teams, developers and SRE engineers.

    Requirements

    • 7+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Azure or Platform Engineering.

    • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Terraform.

    • Excellent knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, NSGs, Azure Firewall).

    • Experience with Azure security: Entra ID, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud and Key Vault.

    • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.

    • Strong scripting skills in Python or PowerShell.

    • Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights.

    • Understanding of the Azure Well-Architected Framework.

    • Experience with Linux and Windows environments.

    • Practical experience using GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Azure OpenAI.

    • Strong communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience with ARM/Bicep.

    • Knowledge of SRE and GitOps practices.

    • Experience building internal developer platforms.

    • Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.ce.
