Automation QA Engineer (Backend)

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain Java test automation for backend services, from smoke suites through full regression.
• Grow automated smoke tests into a staging gate that blocks regressions before production.
• Partner with backend developers on end-to-end system verification.
• Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast, stable, and meaningful.
• Help define quality gates and progression suites so features are verified by automation as part of standard delivery.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of test automation experience and strong hands-on Java skills.
• Experience with Java, Selenide/Selenium, TestNG, Maven, RestAssured, and Allure.
• Experience building and maintaining frameworks and infrastructure, including Page Object Model, Docker/Selenoid, GitLab CI, and Git.
• Solid experience automating backend/API testing for REST and microservices, including request/response validation and functional flows.
• Quality-first, automation-first mindset and motivation to reduce manual QA to zero.
• Experience using AI tools for development and QA.
