Requirements:

  • Deep Ethereum and EVM experience.
  • Experience leading 20+ engineers across multiple teams, including leading other leaders, at a company of a similar stage.
  • Experience owning production systems under contractual SLAs for demanding customers and being accountable for outages.
  • Strong technical judgment and distributed-systems depth. Blockchain experience is an advantage; strong infrastructure and backend leaders from high-integrity domains such as payments, exchanges, or market infrastructure will also be considered.
  • Experience hiring well and retaining people through challenging periods.
  • Strategic thinking, commercial awareness, prioritization skills, and clear communication.
  • A people-first leadership style, with a focus on mentoring, developing leaders, delegating effectively, and building autonomous teams.
  • Collaborative, empathetic, pragmatic, and organized; able to navigate difficult conversations and change.

Useful, but not required: L2 or ZK-rollup architecture; regulated financial infrastructure, including audit, change control, evidence, SOC 2, or ISO 27001; experience with a carve-out, separation, or post-acquisition integration.

About the role: This is a leadership role, not a 100% hands-on engineering position. The company values substance over unnecessary process, constructive challenge, listening, and understanding the purpose and value of work.
