Scylla AI is looking for a skilled and proactive QA Engineer to join its engineering team, focusing on product quality, reliability, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for APIs, integrations, and software applications.
- Perform API and integration testing, including reliability, functionality, and performance testing.
- Develop and maintain automated tests using scripting languages and automation tools.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify issues, investigate defects, and ensure timely resolution.
- Analyze software internals, troubleshoot issues, and debug at API and code levels.
- Review technical designs and specifications to identify quality risks.
- Create and maintain API and testing documentation.
- Contribute to CI processes and tools, improve QA practices, testing efficiency, and automation coverage.
- Own assigned tasks from planning through execution.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of QA Engineering experience, focused on API and integration testing.
- Experience with Postman, JMeter, test automation, and scripting.
- Understanding of REST APIs, API architecture, and enterprise-level integrations.
- Familiarity with Git, Git Flow, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced startup.
- Nice to have: DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, performance testing, or security testing experience.
